Ant Control Services
Ants are everywhere. However, with ant control services from Bug Guys Pest Control, we can eliminate them from your Coachella Valley property. Our ant control solutions are useful for treating the inside of the property and drastically reducing colonies outside.
Facts About Ants
With the exception of Antarctica, ants are found on all the continents of the world. They have been around for more than a hundred and twenty million years old, adapt well to a variety of situations and are not easy to eliminate. Some of the most common types of ants in our area are fire ants, carpenter ants, sugar ants, pavement ants and argentine ants, although there are many different types of species.
Because ants live in colonies, you must destroy the whole colony if you want to get rid of the pests. A spray is not effective; it only kills the ants you can see but does nothing to eliminate the ones you don’t see. Like most other bugs, ants are interested in food and shelter, which is why they infest your home.

How Can You Get Rid of Ants?
It is important to erase the pheromone trail that ants lay down. Simply wiping the area in question is not going to do the trick. Instead, combine three cups of water with one cup of vinegar; place the solution in a spray bottle and put the solution wherever you’ve seen or suspected ants.
Moisture attracts ants. Get rid of any standing water on your property and check to make sure you don’t have any leaks in your kitchen or bathroom. Don’t forget about the exterior of your home, either; if your gutters or downspouts are in disrepair, they could cause water to puddle up as well.
You can have ants even if your home is very clean; they are able to find the smallest bits of food. It is still important, though, that you do everything in your power to keep them from finding anything to eat. Make sure you put your dishes away at night. Clean your counter and sweep your floors. Vacuum regularly as well. If you have food that you think the ants can access, store them in plastic containers with a lid instead of keeping them in their original containers. Also, make sure your trash is in a closed bin at all times.
Ant baits can help control your problem as well.
Why Should You Be Worried About Ants?
Ants take over a home very quickly. Before you know it, what was once a minor annoyance has become a full-fledged problem. Not only are ants difficult to kill, but once they enter your home, they lay down a pheromone trail to show other ants how to gain access to your property.
